At our facility, a botanical garden, what makes an item unforgettable
appears to be the same as for museums: whatever is unusual and
different. Our most popular item is the Dwarf Banana (Musa acuminata)
that is in the Conservatory. The children love it, particularly when
the fruit has set and is maturing. It can look spectacular,
particularly to a child growing up in Kansas that thinks bananas grow
in supermarkets.

My personal favorite exhibits are:
        1. The doll house inhabited by a family of elegant cats
                (Denver Toy Museum)
        2. The paper dolls made by children
(Kansas City Museum of Miniatures and Toys)
