Greetings: I am seeking specific information about the suffrage movement in
NYC during the 1910s. In particular, I am looking for information about a
Dr. Mary Halton, who was involved in contraception rights, and who served on
the Board of Directors for the New York Women's Publishing Co. (Margaret
Sanger was also involved in that organization). I'm also interested in
further information on "automobile parties" that suffragettes had in the
city to drum up support for the right to vote.
Is anyone aware of repositories of information about the movement in NYC?
Thanks,
Candace Perry
