Boy!  This is really tacky, if not slanderous.  You could have stopped
with the first part of your last sentence.  However, to add that his
opinions or statements did not represent reality, suggests that he was
not in touch with reality, i.e. insane?  Whew!  That verges on libel.
Why on earth did you feel it necessary to slander the man?  I happen to
have enjoyed his contributions to this list and did not find them
criticial to your organization or the profession in general.  I hope he
takes some action against you for doing this.

Subject:        Volunteer horror stories

The board of directors of the Stanstead Historical Society, which is
responsible for the Colby Curtis Museum is informing this discussion group
that Herve Gagnon, Director-Curator of the museum, resigned from his
position on February 8, 1999. We draw your attention to the fact that
certain opinions expressed by Mr. Gagnon in this Forum regarding people and
events do not necessarily represent the opinions of this Board, or reality.
