Hello,
I'm a teacher at the Royal Ontario Museum and am also finishing a Masters
in Museums Studies at the University of Ontario. My thesis is on the
purpose of web sites for museums (my take is that they should ultimately
by educational). I would appreciate any response with regards this issue.
Some questions I'm looking to answer are:
1. What is the purpose of museum web sites (e.g. marketing vs.
educational)
2. What kinds of educational activities/research tools should sites
provide?
3. What are the most successful educational tools that museum web sites
are providing?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
