Though I agree it is not defined as a children's museum as such, there is
much excellent "hand's on" science and technology of USA children's museum
type in the Thessaloniki Science Museum in northern Greece (run - as I
remember it - through a non-profit foundation set up and strongly suppored
by the University of Thessalonki.

The ICOM Committee for Museology (ICOFOM) included a visit to this in its
Athens/Thessaloniki annual meeting in 1994.
