In addition to Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy is also good (and free) for
spyware, adware, etc.

recommend ewido for worms, trojans, etc.. http://www.ewido.net/en/ , which
has a free version.

I have all three on my home computer, plus a good antivirus and firewall.

Zone Alarm is a very good personal firewall, it's available from
www.zonelabs.com and is FREE for personal use.  They also have corporate
licensing plans.

Ad-Aware is very good in the category of Spy-ware detection and removal.
It's also available free for personal use.  www.lavasoft.com.
