TITLE:          Associate, Adult Classes and Film/Video Program
DEPARTMENT:     Public Programs
HOURS:          Full time (exempt)

POSITION SUMMARY:	

The Institute seeks a person to design, plan and implement adult classes, lectures, films and special events that support the museum's permanent collection and special exhibitions.  Duties include: work with curators to develop program content; recruit, hire and supervise class instructors and film ticket takers; develop and coordinate printed promotional materials; work with other museum departments in the marketing and implementation of each event.  Requires a MA in art history, art education or the humanities, or demonstrated equivalent experience; knowledge of a broad range of periods and styles in western and non-western art and culture; familiarity with educational methods and teaching practices; minimum 3 years of related work experience with public audiences; good written and verbal communication skills.  Variable work week, including evenings and weekends.
