Gallery Supervisor
Davison Art Center and Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery
Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut

Under the supervision of the Curator of the Davison Art Center and the 
Curator of the Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery, the Gallery Supervisor is 
responsible for matting and framing, gallery preparation, exhibition 
installation, deinstallation, packing and unpacking, shipping 
preparation, and maintenance of exhibitions and the permanent 
collection. The two galleries have active programs with 14-16 
exhibitions of various sizes annually. The Davison Art Center holds 
18,000 prints and 6,000 photographs in one of the leading university 
graphic arts collections. The Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery exhibits 
contemporary art, including video and installation art. The Gallery 
Supervisor works with contemporary artists to realize complex 
installations, advises undergraduate senior thesis majors on object and 
installation preparation, and supervises work-study students.

Minimum requirements: bachelors degree in studio art or a related field; 
two years experience with art museum handling, preparation, and 
exhibition practices; ability to lift 50 pounds.

Salary commensurate with experience.
