It may be worth just checking out those films again. Modern ones are
now quite good. We have specified them quite a lot for museums and,
provided they are properly installed by professional film installers,
they have been satisfactory. They do not last forever, but you should
get a good many years out them.

The key is good quality film and professional installation and the
local environment of the window.
