The Long Island Museum of American Art, History and Carriages (formerly
known as The Museums at Stony Brook) seeks a seasoned museum
professional to assume the position of exhibition designer/ preparator.
Responsible for both permanent and temporary exhibition design,
preparation, construction, installation and maintenance.  Reports to
Chief Curator/Director of Collections and Interpretation and works
alongside curators of three major collections (American art, history,
carriages), collections manager and department administrative
assistant.  Supervises contract personnel on a project basis, as
required.  The Long Island Museum is the region's largest privately
operated museum complex, located on the scenic North Shore with
