To add to what someone else said, there is no formula and it goes without
saying that you need to try to show that you can fill the museum's needs.  The
other thing I suggest, is to try and give your letter some life--a form letter
sounds like one, but one that has a bit of energy in it may catch a tired eye.
If you think it is your writing style that is hindering your chances of
replies, then take a creative writing class and try to make your letters more
