Jason,

First thing is to notify the Ebay administrators of your concern. They will
pull the object from sale. Then it will be up to you to contact the seller
and express your concern, and hopefully resolve the issue satisfactorily.

It looks like you need to click on the "Contact Us" link on any Ebay page,
then choose "Listing Violations" as your report item. "Stolen property" is
then one of the sub-categories. Ebay should contact you to resolve the
situation.

Resolution through the seller may not be easy, and Carrie is right that
other authorities may have to be involved, but stopping the sale is the
first step.

Good luck.

Hello everyone,

I am new to the list so I apologize if this issue has been covered before.
If you happen to see an item for sale on E-BAY that you believe may have
been stolen from your collection, what course of action do you take? The
problem also is that it may have been stolen in 1968, is there a statute of
limitations on theft? Thanks for any help you all might be able to render.

Sincerely,

JASON W. HALL
