I'm sort of getting off, but staying on the subject.  I found, today on the
Net that there are actually software programs for knitters and needlepointers
that will (more or less, I haven't looked at any thoroughly) take a scanned
image and turn it into a grid/pattern/chart for needlework.  The company who
contacted me may or may not know about these things, but as a knitter, I think
that's pretty cool.
