Dear Dan Immel and all:
I have placed a list of musical scales on the Internet for all to use.
These were compiled by two scholars who no longer seem to be available.
The list (in cents or ratios) embraces most or many of the known scales
in the world.
I cannot vouch for their accuracy, nor is the source for each scale
listed -- naturally if they were, it would be about as long or longer
than the list of eleven hundred plus scales.
        They are found at:
http://www.webster.sk.ca/greenwich/lzt-scal.htm
If you have an unknown scale listed by tones & halftones, as did Dan,
then you'll have to convert the notes to cents or ratios to re-create
your list of scale intervals, and then conduct a search at the website
for that list of ratios or cents. That way you may discover what the
unknown scale is, and there may be several that could have those ratios
-- probably from different locales.
