You might want to contact Xerox which has a wonderful permanent
   exhibit surrounding the history of the document.  They have original
   material going back to 2000 BC on display in their lobby and a rather
   fine if simple catalog.  Its in the main lobby of their whisper-quiet
   corporate headquarters on the outskirts of Stamford, Connecticut.
