true about the cost since Director is right at $1000 USD.  if you're looking
at a really tight budget then, you're right powerpoint could suffice.  flash
would be a little better and probably a little less "clunky"  but you might
wonder if the whole project is worth it if the budget is that tight.  i
mean, no cd-rom and spending the time and money on something else could be
better than a mediocre cd-rom just for the sake of having one.  (just a
general comment, certainly not directed at the originator of this string)

Just a point to make...powerpoint would be sort of graphically "lame," but
since you might be on a
tight budget flash or powerpoint may just do the trick.  Powerpoint is sort
of tough because you
dont get much navigation out of it.  Flash is more like a web page (or even
live motion by adobe).
 Director is obviously great to use but very expensive.  Just a few thoughts
on cost.
