The Visual Resources Association's upcoming annual meeting will be
headquartered at San Antonio's Menger Hotel, 204 Alamo Plaza, San
Antonio, TX  78205.  To make a reservation as a VRA conference attender
at the VRA conference rate, PLEASE CALL THE HOTEL RESERVATION DESK
DIRECTLY AT 210-223-4361, or 800-345-9285.  If our block of rooms fills,
overflow reservations will be handled by the nearby Crockett Hotel, 320
Bonham, San Antonio, TX  78205.  To make a reservation there as a VRA
conference attender at the VRA conference rate, PLEASE CALL THE HOTEL
RESERVATION DESK DIRECTLY AT 210-225-6500, or 800-292-1050.
 
VRA negotiated hotel space independently of the College Art Association.
That is why you need to call the hotels directly!  PLEASE DO NOT (REPEAT,
DO NOT) DUPLICATE YOUR VRA RESERVATION WITH A CAA HOTEL RESERVATION FORM.
Register one way (as a VRA member, by telephone) or the other (as a CAA
member, by mail) but not both!!!  Those of you who have are causing
tremendous confusion for the hotels, and difficulty for other people
trying to register.
 
To summarize:  VRA's annual meeting will be held in San Antonio, Texas,
from January 25 through January 28, 1995.  The headquarters hotel is
The Menger Hotel, 204 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, Texas, 78205.  Room rates
at the Menger are $85.00 single or double, $95.00 triple, $105.00 quad,
plus the usual 15% local taxes.  Call the hotel directly, identifying
yourself as a VRA attender, to be eligible for the conference room
rates.  The number at the Menger is 210-223-4361, or 800-345-9285.
Overflow reservations will be handled at the same basic room rate by
the Crockett Hotel, 320 Bonham, San Antonio, Texas, 78205, 210-225-6500,
800-292-1050.  PLEASE DO NOT DUPLICATE YOUR VRA TELEPHONE RESERVATION WITH
A CAA MAIL-IN HOTEL RESERVATION FORM.  DO ONE OR THE OTHER, NOT BOTH.
