        The famous moth scene in Silence of the Lambs was filmed in the
entomology section ("Holland Room") of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Score one for old wooden cabinets vs compactors.
 
        A good deal of the awful movie "Flashdance" was filmed in and about
CMNH as well.
 
        Then there's Sylvester Stallone mounting the stairs of the Philadelphia
Art Mus in Rocky I, two plotters having a clandestine rendezvous on the stairs
of the USNM in the French Connection .....
