Hello,

All of you responded to my Museum-L posting asking me to share any replies
with you. Unfortunately, the only replies I have received are those
asking me to share my results! I did find a short bibliography on exhibit
planning in the Museum-L archives, and here it is:

Belcher, Michael. "Exhibitions in Museums" Washington D.C.:Smithsonian
Institution Press, 1991. ISBN 0-7185-1299-5

De Borhegyi, Suzanne, "Museum Brainstorming: A Creative Approach to
Exhibit Planning," Curator 21/3, 1978, pp.212-224.

Hartman, Thomas, "From Genesis Through Form: Processes Involved in Exhibit
Implementation," Western Museums Conference Newsletter no.2, 1988, 4-5.

Klein, Larry, "Team Players," Museum News 3/4, 1991, pp.44-45.

Royal Ontario Museum, "Communicating with the Museum Visitor: Guidelines
for Planning," 1976.

McClean, Kathleen, "Planning for People in Museum Exhibitions,"
Association of Science Technology Centers, Washington, D.C.

Dean, "Museum Exhibition: Theory and Practice," Routledge, 1994.

Verhaar, J. and Meeter, H., "Project Model Exhibitions," Reinwardt Academi
Holland, 1989

Miles, R.S. "Exhibiting Learning," Museums Journal, May 1993.

Hall, M., "On Display: a design grammar for Museum Exhibitions," London:
Luanda Humphries, 1987.

Gurian, E., "Let's Empower All Those Who Have Stake in Exhibitions,"
Museum News, March/April 1990.

Spencer, H., "Improving Public Access to Museums," in Lord, G. "The Manual
of Museums Planning, HMSO, London, 1991.

I hope this helps!
