Craig, Send email to "[log in to unmask]" (_not_ to MUSEUM-L!) and
include a one-line message (no Subject line required), that says:

GET MUSEUM-L LOG94xx

where xx is the month, e.g., 07, 08, 09, 10, etc. This will get the entire
month's postings to MUSEUM-L for the year 1994, month xx. You can then
browse it for the article(s) that you lost/deleted/need.
Watch out: the files are big-- 10-18 thousand lines.
Unfortunately, currently only the most recent 5-6 months of the
logs are kept (policy of UNMVMA apparently). You can find out which logs
are available and how big they are by sending the message "INDEX MUSEUM-L"
(no quotes).

In looking at the settings for MUSEUM-L today, I notice that one must be
a subscriber to the list in order to GET a log (i.e., notebook = private).
So, until/if John C. changes this setting to notebook = public,
those who would switch over to reading this discussion group via netnews
would also have to be subscribers to the list (I see no reason to not
have the notebook logs be public, btw).
