Since this list has been so helpful in the past, I am hoping once again for
a recommendation or some guidance.

We have a GAR ribbon-medal in our collection that is in pretty bad shape.
First, I am looking for any recommendations for a conservator in the NJ
area that works with textiles (the ribbon being the most badly damaged part
of the object).
Second, if anyone can recommend any thing I can do to stabilize the object
until it can be conserved I would appreciate it.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
