Heritage Preservation is seeking a Coordinator for the Conservation
Assessment Program (CAP). CAP provides grants for collections and facility
assessments at museums with small to mid-sized holdings.  Grants are
awarded on a non-competitive, first come first served basis.  CAP is
funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), and
administered by Heritage Preservation.  The Coordinator oversees the day-
to-day administration of the program including, but not limited to,
marketing the program, the production and mailing of the application
brochure, screening of application eligibility and appropriateness for
IMLS, responding to applicant inquiries, notification of awards, assessor
matching and selection, disbursement of monies and tracking of reports and
deadlines.

Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of
office/administrative experience.  Position requires: Strong written and
oral communications skills; computer skills (Microsoft Office and
Filemaker Pro); strong attention to detail; excellent organizational
skills; ability to work independently and take initiative.  Previous
experience working in a museum, arts service organization, or in museum
related graduate studies is highly desirable.  Salary commensurate with
