Michel,

While I think that the glass floor would be visually stunning, I think that
the view from the lower gallery looking up would be quite more than
stunning.  Glass floors are great when one needs to look down at objects
below, but really present quite a problem in the opposite direction.

I do, however, agree with you on using track lighting instead of fiber
optics in this case.
