All,

I've just completed work on the Perkins Observatory Mars Yard. This
exhibit allows guests to drive a completely wireless LEGO rover around a
simulated Martian landscape. The rover has been up and running for nine
months now.

Just two weeks ago I completed a Mars Lander (also made of LEGO bricks) to
go with the rover. The lander has a camera that can pan and tilt, similar
to the Pathfinder Station. It's quite elaborate. Please check it out.

If I may say so myself, our guests _really_ like this exhibit (especially
the kids). The fact that it's made of LEGO bricks excites a lot of them.
Here is something that they could make themselves if they put their minds
to it (albeit with $1,500 worth of parts). It is also _very_ robust and
reliable. Change batteries, flip a couple of switches, and you're ready to
go.

If anyone thinks this is something they would like to try, please contact
me. I can build one for you for a modest set fee plus expenses. I've
already jumped all the hurdles and learned all the little tricks necessary
to make it work well. It's a major exhibit built on a shoestring budget.
