Dear cohorts,

The tons of spam that are clogging up this list have made me very
appreciative of the efforts that the list moderator made to prevent that
from happening. This list a very valuable tool for me to keep in touch
with what is going on in our profession since I now live in a far flung
remote island in the middle of the Pacific and consequently have little
personal interaction with actual museums and people on the mainland
anymore. Bandwidth is valuable to me, and I do not have a screamin' fast
computer, so sifting through the digests has become very time consuming,
and I don't have a lot of that precious commodity.

I would like to make the suggestion that if you are replying to something,
particularly a spamming incident, that you do not forward the spam back to
the list for us all to resift through. A little editing can go a long way
towards keeping the information on this list more manageable and helping
us all make the best use of our time.
