My staff is questioning the past practice in our museum of making copies of
original documents that people do not want to donate. I think that the
copies should simply be put into informational research (vertical) files.
Others think that we need to accession them as the originals may never come
to the museum. Anyone have thoughts on this, or how does your institution do
this??
