Wanted Energetic, Enthusiastic and Guest-Centered co-worker to help bring the stories of Charlotte, NC to inquiring minds!

If you have a background in historic house interpretation and a track record of successfully working with guest tours and school groups we want you to join our staff at the Charlotte Museum of History.

For the position listed below, a Masters Degree in history, museum studies or 
2-3 years experience as a museum educator is required. Salary Range: Twenty-five to thirty thousand annually, depending on work experience.

Education & Interpretation Manager
•	Works with Historian & Curator to provide accurate historical information for all educational programs.
•	Manages school tours.
•	Provides outreach to the schools, and maintains outreach materials including, but not limited to Traveling Trunks.
•	Coordinates all volunteers and  interns
•	Develops Homeschool programs.
•	Assists in development of a hands-on history exhibit for children.
•	Organizes and runs Saturday Weekly Living History Programs.
•	Writes and maintain updates for “Guide By Cell” tours
•	Enjoys working with children and students
•	Disseminates history enthusiastically to students and adults
•	Work week is Tues.- Sat. and special events
•	Has the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
