Hello all,

I have a nebulous donation to consider and I thought I would ask you folk on
the list. The local Girl Guides wishes to donate several photo albums. All
the images are post 1948. The photos are in albums but our practise is to
scan photos into the computer and catalogue them. However, the girl guide
organization is NOT the photographer so how does one obtain copyright? Or do
I process the donation as an archival fond? Or do I process the Albums as
documentary artifacts and put them in my collections area? Thoughts on this
would be wonderful as the images are of people that are important to our
community and we have very little on the Girl Guide Organization. You can
reply to me off list at [log in to unmask]
