Amalyah Keshet and I have been having a private discussion of
non-traditional uses of the museum for earned income purposes, and we
thought the list might be able to provide more for everyone's amusement,
edification, and brainstorming.

For example, at the Indianapolis Art Center we have an active program of
rentals of our 12 art-making studios for corporate creativity retreats (as
well as rentals of conference rooms, outdoor spaces, etc.) that do not
detract from the safety and security of the art on display in the galleries.
Most museums have facilities that they never thought of offering for rental
to outsiders--great earned income generator if marketed appropriately!

Anybody else have unique earned income programs that they care to share?
