Hello -
I belong to an organization, SECAC (Southeastern College Art Conference).
We are in the process of setting up a department of the organization that
deals with the organization of college and university museums and galleries.
Many of us work in colleges and universities that have the fortune to
maintain either a museum or a gallery. However, we have discovered, through
several panel discussions, that there are no rules of order, no system, and
no consistency from one campus presidant to the next.

What we want to do is establish standards, guidelines that will help all of
us. Granted the guidelines will have to be broad because of the various
personalities of each institution, still there needs to be some consistency.
Does anyone have guidelines, experience in creating a structure?

I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance for your
assistance.

Gylbert Coker
