In talking to a close source (my brother!) he was not aware of anything
authentic downtown (re: mexican restaurants). He did, however,
recommend a place called Pepito's on 48th and Chicago. It is aprox. 3
miles from downtown and is very good.

Other recommendations...Glueck's (German beer hall style restaurant
close to convention), and Linguine & Bob (goofy name, but good joint).
