        Curatorial Intern

        The Reno County Museum, located in Hutchinson, Kansas, seeks an
intern to assist with collection related projects including improving
storage areas, cataloging artifacts, transporting and installing artifacts
to new storage areas, preparing materials for exhibits, assisting with
research requests, and attending Collections Committee meetings.  The
qualified candidate will have some curatorial experience   and some
academic training in collections preferably at the graduate level, be
willing to work in a team environment, and be able to lift objects as heavy
as 50 pounds.  The intern will also have an opportunity to travel to other
Kansas museums with staff and to interact with other museum professionals
in the area.  The internship will last 12 weeks (dates flexible from
mid-May through September) and will be paid a stipend of $3,000.  Send a
