I am in complete agreement with Angelica. I am a part-time English professor in addition to my Museum career. As such, I have had the opportunity to teach "Business Communication" as well as literature classes. I emphasize to my students that your cover letter and resume are the ways you introduce yourself when applying for a job. They are representative of your overall business skills and personality. Spelling errors and sloppy formatting are as bad as chewing gum during a job interview.
