Correction, that's *Walter* Henry at Stanford.  He is the moderator of
the Conservation Distribution List (ConsDist List) and the force behind
Conservation OnLine (CoOL) a WAIS database of conservation information.

To ask about underwater archeo conservators you might try calling Dave
Casebolt (conservator) at the National Park Service Collections
Management Unit in San Francisco.  They have worked with several
shipwreck "digs".  The number is 415/556-3797.  Call before 4pm Pacific Time.
