Dear H-PUBLIC list subscribers:

I have received a very helpful email from an NCPH colleague
at the Smithsonian, providing some additional sources of information
about the current situation there. The websites are particularly
helpful, especially the SITruth site, which has links to recent
press stories and editorials as well as ways of contacting the
Smithsonian about the matter.

NCPH has completed its statement on the issue and is in the process
of distributing it to all parties involved. Look for the statement on
the website [www.ncph.org ] on Thursday.

David G. Vanderstel
Executive Director
National Council on Public History
