Not sure this is exactly what you are looking for , but Kohl Children's
Museum tried a "singles mingle" for awhile-- one night a month the museum
was open for single parents and their kids to meet each other. By default,
the mingles were often female. There was also a program in the Chicago area
for low income expectant (single?) young moms that took them to museums and
filled them in on information to assist the in raising happy/healthy
children.
