Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Bachelor’s degree in history, American studies, museum studies, 
archaeology, historic preservation, or a related field; and 

2. Three years of professional or related experience, including one year as a 
program coordinator or supervisor; or 

3. Master’s degree in one of the above fields; and one year of experience; or 

4. An equivalent combination of education and experience. 

5. Valid driver’s license, or the ability to acquire one. 

Notes:

Responsible for planning, development, implementation and supervision of all 
phases of public programs at the College Park Aviation Museum. This includes 
family and adult programs, teen and preschool activities, lectures, films, 
workshops, special talks and seasonal events. Serves as media contact, 
writes press, and promotes overall media coverage for museum. Coordinates all 
marketing efforts and advertising, designs flyers and graphics products, meets 
with and evaluates advertising opportunities, reaches out to diverse 
audiences, works with other staff to promote their programs, exhibits and 
activities, supervises full and part time staff and volunteers, works special 
events, staffs museum. Also, serves as second in command at Museum.
