Dear Joshua:

I am currently the Curatorial Administrator for a private collection. I have spent the better part of a year (thus far) accessioning/cataloguing the collection. I am employing a 3 part numbering system (as used in my former museum positions) - B.2004.024.001-.002 (for example, year acquired, 24th object acquired that year, the object has 2 "parts"). If you would like more detailed information, I would be happy to provide it - especially as I'm unsure if I have answered your question or not.

Best,
 Ginger
