You can barcode both the paper (attaching the label to the folder it is in) and the drawer so when using the scanner you scan both and it should make the location attach to the object. The ones I have used it was programmed to go biggest container to smallest, so you would scan the drawer and then the object. (or, cabinet-drawer-portfolio-object)
