For several years, the Andrew Carnegie Free Library
and Music Hall in Carnegie, Pennsylvania included a
large donation station, just inside the Library's
front door, similar to what you are suggesting. We had
a local artist paint the station with images of books
and other library-related images, so that it looked
like it fit in the library.
