Good Afternoon All,
Please note that there is a vacancy in the education department of the
Memphis Pink Palace Museum.  Please do not send a resume, and please deal
directly with the HR/Employment Office, City of Memphis (see below) Please
do not contact the Pink Palace Museum.  For detailed vacancy announcement
and instructions as to how to apply on-line please check-out the City of
Memphis website.
PUBLIC/SPECIAL PROGRAMS MANAGER
Works under the general direction of the Manager of Education for the Pink
Palace Museum and is responsible for public programs which augments the
museum's exhibits and collections.
Bachelor's Degree in museum studies, education or any related field such
as Nineteenth or Twentieth century American History, Biology/Geology;
(2) two yrs exp in planning/coordinating educational programs,
preferably in a museum setting; Must have knowledge of trends and issues
involved in providing quality learning experiences to diverse audiences in
an informal educational setting.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
