Pardon the personal reply to Laura and Pam, but it can happen to any of
us, so I post it to the List.

Laura,
Your subscription to MUSEUM-L was made from:

[log in to unmask]

and you are now sending email to the list from:

[log in to unmask]

Pam,
Your subscription to MUSEUM-L was made from:

nasem013@sivm (a Bitnet node)

and you are now sending email to the list from:

[log in to unmask] (an Internet node)

You can only sign off by sending email to LISTSERV from the _same_ place
as you subscribed from. You need to ask the MUSEUM-L List Owner, John
Chadwick, to unsubscribe you (unless you can send email to LISTSERV from
that alternative address form).

P.S. This phenomenon can happen to anyone who subscribes from one site
and then moves to another, or whose computer center changes the name or
routing of host computer names, or due to a subscriber using two or more
different mail program, even if those programs reside on the _same_ computer,
which route the mail to MUSEUM-L _from_ different node_names (as John C.
explained, your computer might be "on" both internet and bitnet nodes, and
depending on which mail program you use, your mail will come from one or
the other of those nodes. Phhewww!)
Peter
