Duly noted - any other comments about how museum admission/ticket fees play
out?  I'll take this up as a research/writing project when I clear a few

Throwing something in...in less-populated or non-urban areas, admission
charges might be interpreted by potential attendees that the museum sees
itself as elitist and is trying to keep out people who cannot afford to get
in. A very common problem.

A lot of places respond by dropping or eliminating admission fees, but
raising membership fees dramatically and instituting relatively lavish
member perks.
