Marketing/Fundraising Internship
Job Description

Application Deadline: March 22, 1999
Notification: April 15, 1998

Terms of Internship:
40 hours per week
June 1 through August 31
$1,200/month, housing not included
Intern is supervised by and reports to the Interim Director

The Marketing/Fundraising Intern of the Aspen Historical Society is
responsible
for the following areas:

1.  Provide support in the area of Marketing by assisting with the
facilitation of the overall 1999 Marketing Plan. To include but not limited
to distribution of press releases, ongoing distribution of summer schedule
to local venues, compilation and distribution of press kits and programming
collateral, assistance at PR gatherings, creative input towards the
expansion of current PR/Marketing efforts for AHS programs.
 Special Project: Develop and implement (when appropriate) a marketing plan
 specific to the AHS summer and winter programming for children.

2.  Provide support for the Annual Homes Tour fundraising event including
assisting the event manager and event committees on necessary logistics,
working with graphic designer on development of event collateral,
preparation of sponsorship proposals, participation in sponsorship
solicitation, coordination of raffle, coordination of volunteers, and
facilitation of followup work.

3.  Support Development Office in the area of direct mailings, data entry,
and overall facilitation of 1999 Development Plan.
