A few months ago -- perhaps vver the summer months
--there was a long exchange of information about
exhibits devoted to authors and historic homes
connected with literary figures on Museum-L.  I don't
recall who posted the original query but replies
filtered in for weeks.  I was amazed at the number of
Museum-L members who worked in museums or historic
sites with literary associations.

If the initial poster (or another Museum-L'er) saved
all those replies, perhaps he/she would share with
you.  Otherwise you can check the Listserv archives
for the topic and read through (directions for using
the archives are found in the FAQ that is appended at
the end of every message.)  

You'll find a lot of contacts from that earlier
discussion.  Collectively they represent many
different approaches to exhibitions about literature.

Another source of information is Archives & Archivists
Listserv which Harry Heiss recommended for the recent
nomenclature question. I'm borrowing his directions --
"go to www.archivists.org, then click on the Resources
tab, then select Free On-line Resources from the
drop-down list, then click on Archives and Archivists
Listserv."  Archivists (who often double as rare
books/special collections librarians) frequently have
responsibility for library exhibitions since these are
based upon their unique and unusual collections.
