POSITION AVAILABLE

POSITION TITLE:  Director of Education and Interpretation

Position Purpose:  To develop and manage the programs and staff of a living
history site which includes 58 historic structures.

POSITION DUTIES:  Developing new and varied approaches to interpretation and
public programming, including site s relationship to special events, for a
wide range of visitors and school groups.  Position reports to the Vice
President of Programs and includes supervision of paid and unpaid staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong supervisory, communication, planning,
coordination, and interpretative skills are required.  Candidates should
have prior museum education and interpretive experience.  Master s degree in
related field preferred.
