I used to work in a museum with a large Egyptian collection. As a group
was setting up for an after-hours event, the organizer asked if we could
turn OUT the lights in the exhibit cases -- to add to the atmosphere.

I wanted to ask them WHY they were holding their event in the museum if
they didn't want their guests to see the exhibits. I managed to hold my
tongue.

I guess your curators would have liked these people.
