The Museum Association of New York (MANY) and the Upstate History Alliance
(UHA) will be holding their joint annual conference from April 18-20, 2004
in New York City with a theme of "A Passionate Profession: Innovation &
Creativity in Museums"

This conference is the largest annual gathering of museum professionals in
the state. We are excited to be bringing you a program which features
sessions and workshops for all types and sizes of museums and historical
societies. Highlights include Keynote Speaker David Carr, author of "The
Promise of Cultural Institutions; a behind-the-scenes conservation tour at
the American Museum of Natural History; and special sessions on "Getting
Beyond Your Four Walls" for staff and volunteers at historic house museums.
