Unfortunately, a month on from the 18 May e-mail distribution of the
far-reading findings of the ICOM Reform Task Force, the report has still
not been made available on the ICOM web site.

I have therefore converted this from Bernice Murphy's original MS Word
format to web (HTML) format and put this on the ICTOP web site - I hope
temporarily, just until the report is made available officially on the
main ICOM web site, when I will be more than happy to delete it from the
ICTOP site.

The direct address is: http://www.icom.org/ictop/rtf-18May.html

though there is also a link at the top of the www.icom.org/ictop/ home
page.

(Incidentally, as we are constantly told that updates of the main ICOM web
site are often delayed because these either take too much time and/or
require specialised web software and training, the conversion of Bernice's
300K. file took less than a minute using "Save as" within the
word-processing programme itself. The subsequent connection to
the network, up-loading onto our (remote - like ICOM's) web site and
editing our index page took just five minutes more in total.

I have also loaded onto the ICTOP site the 1999 ICTOP "SWOT Analysis"
assessing ICOM's perceived "Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and
Threats". This is quoted several times in the Reform Task Force report,
but has still not been distributed to the Advisory Committee, Executive
Council and ICOM-L as was requested by the the July 1999 meeting of ICTOP
which carried out this management exercise as part of the ICOM policy
review/reform exercise.

There is also a link to the "SWOT Analysis" on the ICTOP home page, but
the direct address is:
