Inclusion is a top priority for museums & cultural development of the Danish Cultural Agency, which in partnership with the University of Copenhagen and the International Institute for the Inclusive Museum is establishing an international center of excellence in Inclusive Museum Studies in 2013. The first major activity is the 6th International Conference on the Inclusive Museum (http://onmuseums.com/the-conference) hosted by the National Gallery of Denmark. It is a professional/research meeting with case studies and a day dedicated to practical engagement in heritage practice, (http://onmuseums.com/the-conference/program/museum-day) focusing on urban heritage, gender mainstreaming, rethinking natural and cultural heritage and art and place making. Next deadline for submission of proposals is: 14 Feb 2013.
